We’re not living in the world of 1974 anymore!

Did you know our community’s library has been substantially unchanged since that long ago time we moved into this historic building on West Ferry Street? After 41 years, we need to update the facilities to use energy efficiently, to provide comfort to our patrons and to deliver exciting new library services that modern technology is making possible.

Looking Up!

A Capital Campaign for Building Renovations at the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury

We have been raising money from state grants and individual donors. All of our trustees are contributing, too. We have raised the lion’s share of the $450,000 we need to complete the renovations to our library. Now, private donors have told us if we raise $70,000 from the public, they will double your contribution, and we will top our total!

What can you do to help? Over 7,000 area residents are active users of our library.  So, if our patrons could each give us $10, we’d reach our $70,000 goal. Remember, for every dollar you contribute, the library receives twice that much.

Think of it this way: It’s a worthwhile, smart investment because each year we circulate almost 70,000 items, saving patrons $510,000 in the cost of books, e-books, videos and audio materials. Help us update to become the library for the world we live in now.

Thank you!

The Board of Trustees, Free Library of New Hope and Solebury
