Business Sponsorship
The Board of Trustees and staff of the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury sincerely wish to thank those area businesses that have supported our organization in the past and would like to extend an invitation to all businesses to join in the Library's commitment to serve our community as we move into a bright future.
The support of business donors plays an important role in expanding the Library's roster of programs and initiatives to meet the information, education and recreations needs of the 11,200 residents of New Hope and Solebury. It helps the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury provide a robust, year-round roster of programs and services as well as enhance our charming, historical building to better serve our community.
In the near-term, there are two ways interested businesses can be involved:
3rd Annual Community Read-A-Thon: During the Read-A-Thon, held in January in connection with the Winter Festival, participants compete for prizes by reading the most total mintues over a two-week period. In addition to encouraging literacy, money is raised for the Library through pledges donated to support participants' reading. This event is free and open to the enitre community but is especially popular for students in local schools. Sponsorship provides for prizes for all participants and special events during the program. Read-A-Thon sponsors must be committed by November 17 to ensure that their logos are displayed on the event's printed materials.
Children's Garden: In conjunction with our renovation, a Children's Garden will be installed outside in the back of the Library. In addition to providing a place for families to read and relax, the space will feature interactive elements to encourage exploration. While the Library is collaborating with Bowman's Wildflower Preserve, Artists in Residence and the Girl Scouts, contributions are still needed to see the project through.
For information on sponsoring either of these initiatives or to learn about additional opportunities please contact Connie Hillman at nhspubliclibrary@gmail.com.
Thank you very much for your support!
